Meet Candace Drummond
Owner & Therapist at Quality of Life Therapy Practice, LLC
Hi, I’m Candace—a Licensed Certified Social Worker-Clinical (LCSW-C), born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. I’m proud to be the first in my family to graduate from college, earning my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Towson University and my Master of Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore.
My background spans forensic social work, nonprofits, community-based services, medical social work, and mental health. I’ve served as a Field Instructor and now as a board-approved clinical supervisor, mentoring new professionals in the field. I’ve been providing therapy for over seven years, and what keeps me grounded in this work is a deep passion for helping people who feel stuck, unseen, or overwhelmed—especially when life feels like too much.
At Quality of Life Therapy Practice, I offer a safe, non-judgmental, and empowering space for you to be your full self. I meet people where they are, and together we build toward where they want to be. I use a strength-based, CBT-informed approach that’s flexible, relatable, and rooted in real-life experience. My clients often describe me as "down-to-earth," and that’s intentional—I believe therapy should feel human.
I’ve worked with children, teens, and adults navigating anxiety, ADHD, depression, bipolar disorder, psychosis, life transitions, self-worth, and more. But my heart is especially connected to those who struggle with anxiety and imposter syndrome—because I’ve been there too.
Yes, I live with anxiety and have wrestled with imposter syndrome myself. And while it’s not always easy to talk about, being open about my experience helps me connect with my clients on a deeper level. It creates a space where you feel seen, not judged. Where your feelings are valid, and your challenges are human. My hope is that by normalizing these experiences, you’ll know you’re not alone—and that healing is absolutely possible.
